Hi,

I am looking for a shop in Hong Kong where I can find some Ilford SFX200 at a decent price. Do you also know where I can't get it processed?

For none Hong Kongers, could you advice me on a website where I can order it and get it shipped to Hong Kong?

I had a search on eBay earlier on today but couldn't find anything fresh and at a decent price.

Finally and most importantly, what is your opinion on this film? I never tried it or any IR film and want to give it a go. I am going to Angkor Vat (in Cambodia) at the end of March and would like to try this film. I think the IR effect on the vegetation and the temples could look amazing.

Thanks

Max

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_ce/202-3914074-3876669?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=ilford+sfx+200&Go.x=5&Go.y=9

They seem to ship worldwide, but they stress "limited availabilty". Anywhere that processes b+w can usually do SFX, as it's not true IR, just extended range. The other good bit of this is that you don't need to load/inload in a darkroom/changing bag. The bad bit is that, in my hands anyway, it didn't give a good IR effect like Kodak HIE did. But don't let that put you off.

might be hard to find for now as it was discontinued but will be made again soon.

it is a 'near' infrared film, not true infrared.

i tried a couple of rolls years ago and quite liked it, i did some street shots.

Thanks Mpt600, but unfortunately Amazon seemed to run out of stock!!!! By the way, I am also looking for some Konica IR 750.

I used it for a few years in a 2nd body.....I have a formula with Rodinal that I use to develop it in...if your interested, let me know and I'll send you a few cool formulas for developers.......the film is cool for what it does.....a red filter will help a lot but still not true IR...but cool anyway.....
