I have no connection to this seller, but here is an interesting lens.

Interesting lens, but that is a lot of cash for a 50mm/2.4 lens. I suppose that collectors will jump all over it.

that is a very interesting lens, quite neat, would love to try it out just for the heck of it, but not going to pay that much!

Erwin Puts reviewed the Hexanon a while ago, finding it better than the current 50/2.8 Elmar-M @ f/2.8:

I know this is OT and we've had other threads about this, but how can this item be mint if it has some "bright marks around the neck on the lens"?

If I had the disposable income, I would buy it and try it out. If I didn't care to keep it, I could re-sell it at no loss, maybe make a small profit.

If you're looking for outright superlative performance of a 50 in LTM, I would think a CV Heliar 50/3.5 beats everything out there stop for stop, but then, it's only f/3.5 not f/2.4. Frankly, I doubt it's much better than their 50/2 Hexanon M and my tests with that lens indicated it was a little behind the Summicron and ZM Planar.

It has a nasty tab on it too... :( ;)
