Can anyone recommend an affordable medium format scanner to use with my M7 negs? Or do you send them out for scanning? Thanks in advance.

You can get a Minolta Dimage scan multi II for a couple of hundred dollars these days. Thay scan up to 6x9 at 2820 DPI. I have one myself. I may upgrade evetually to their newer model but I would have to sell my unit fo=rst since the new ones are 3k.

You probably can't beat the Epson 3200 for affordable scanner.
I scan 35mm and 6x6 MF slides and negatives. You can can scan up to 4x5.

All MF images here were scanned with that (3-400 dollar scanner): http://pbase.com/rsilfverberg

I have the Epson 3200 too. I still am trying to master the art of scanning and PS post processing, but I have been happy to date. I believe the $100 rebate in the US for this unit is good for purchases made before the end of January.

I use a $139.00 Canon 1230U that scans up to 4 inch X 5 inch negatives. I think it was discontinued last year. Based on it's performance, it's replacement should be pretty good too.

I've been using the earlier Epson 2450 for 6x6 and 6x9 scanning and it's been very decent. I believe there's a replacement for the 3200 just around the corner. Would love to have a Nikon 8000 but it's WAY too expensive.

Thanks for your replies. I did a search for the Epson 3200 and found out that it is being replaced by the "Epson PERFECTION 4870". This sounds like a great scanner. There is a good review at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1427726,00.asp, and more deatils on the Epson site at http://www.epson.com.au/products/corporate/perfection4870p.asp.
