maybe someone has information on availability/further delays?
This lens has been available in Japan for quite some time ... street price is around 1800 US.

The 75 Summicron is a wonderful lens, but it's not an 85. If you need the 85/90 focal length, then that's what you need.
OTOH, if you don't need the "latest and greatest" or don't demand maximum peformance at close range, the pre-ASPH Leica 90 Cron is much more cost-effective than the ZM "Sonnar."
At last, there's a Leica product that's substantially cheaper than its Zeiss equivalent (albeit from different decades)! ;)
