View Full Version : New Zeiss 18 & 21 lenses: availibility?
Anyone know when the two new Zeiss ZM w.a. lenses will be available?
I'm particularly interested in the 18mm. Thanks!

The Biogon T* 4.5/21 and the Biogon T* 4/18 ZM lenses were introduced at Photokina and will begin shipping in the U.S. in late March or early April. There are some pre-production versions of the 4.5/21 ZM circulating for press review and you should begin seeing test reports in the coming months.
Re: the Zeiss webstore, it was established during the transition from the former distributor of Zeiss Ikon products. Now that Zeiss has assumed responsibility for these products (May 2006), we are establishing a nation-wide network of photo specialty dealers in key geographic markets, which also includes Canada. The products sold at the Zeiss site are offered primarily for convenience and sold at list price.

don't think those lenses are available in Europe yet
Can someone point me to a link with specs (length, width, weight, filter size) for the new Zeiss 21mm f/4.5 ZM lens?

Thanks Joe. I wish Zeiss were a little quicker getting their products moving along and out the door.

The 21mm can be ordered here (https://photo-shop.zeiss.com/epages/cz.d/?ObjectID=3890&Locale=en_GB) for 1050 Euro, the 18mm still is just an image on the site.

The 21 I'm interested in is the new f/4.5 C Biogon ZM, not the older 21/2.8.
