I found this "misplaced" M8 Ad in front of the Leica Gallery in Vienna last weekend. Just wanted to share this... ;-)

a collectors item in the near future.
Wonder if an M8 made the exposure for the ad.

@Trius: No idea but this pic was done with my M6 ;-)
I particularly like the irony of the juxtaposition with "Tauschzentrale" (Exchange Central")
a collectors item in the near future.
Which? The ad or the camera?
(Still waiting for mine to be returned from a fixit trip to Solms.)

the ad.
I love to have an original poster that size of a IIIc or IIIf.
I think the target audience for this ad was a "street photographer".
Knowing that we lurk around in strange places, run down houses, construction sites and etc. - the placement of the ad is perfect! :D

That would be simple. Just take a picture of your IIIc with an M8 and blow it up to poster size. :)

And this, on a site that is clearly still "under construction". Perfect metaphor, if you ask me. ;)

Megapixel madness here? There have been plenty of posters done with the original Canon 1D. At 4 Mp:eek: Stunning ones too. Do your sums of viewing distance vs. resolving power of the human eye, mate.

Movies use half the size of film frame that we're used to. They enlarge to well over poster size on the silver screen.
