Just got a new M8. Not sure what choices for saturation, sharpness, etc. to make in the camera settings. Leave on the defaults or something else? Thanks.
Steve
I wouldn't know. Those things I leave at default as I shoot DNG exclusively. and congratulations on a great new camera.:)
With the M8 use DNG and don't worry. Use the associated JPEG to send to your grandmother. She won't care about the saturation. But Photoshop, etc will handle your color. You might take a small GregMacbeth color card with you and shoot that for balance later, if convenient. I shot a B&W by mistake forgetting that just affects the jpg. When I opened the DNG it was all there in glorious color.

Got it. Will not fiddle with the defaults. Doing a figure shoot tomorrow night. What a way to break in the M8, huh?

If you're doing a figure shoot, take a white card with you; the auto white balance on the M8 is not yet perfected. I think even with DNG, life's a lot easier if the WB is known.
