RFF a few years looked like this

Look at the number of active users :)
Hehehe, Jorge... RFF certainly has come quite a long way! Thanks for everything... I don't know where I would be w/o this forum!
Coming January, I'll officially be a premium member! I was going to do so this month, but the whole 'moving into a new place' thing has set me back a little bit...
Thanks!!!!!!

Good ! Interesting ! Even if I do not post much when not travelling I visit the RFF everyday, a look at the post, a look at gallery...and the day will be a little better...Some how it is like stopping at the pub to meet some friends before going back home...I thank you all for this place, and wish an Happy and peacefull X'mas.

been here since day 1.
was the 11th person to sign on and was asked to be a moderator shortly after.
it's been downhill ever since...;)

So THAT explains why all RFF meets are focused on fluid! :D
You are right, Robert ... this is the most pub-like atmosphere I've found on the net. I've been in other forums that were similar in their feel, but they didn't stay that way for nearly as long.
Cheers to all,
Earl
I'm kind of a forum junkie, but I find RFF the best photo fourm. I think it has a wider variety of interests compared to many of the forums. Many are just the camera, but RFF encompasses film, developing, and most of all, photography.
Of all my friends, only a couple have any interest in photography, and none have much interest in older, simpler cameras or film. So as said, it is kind of like going to the pub. I'll have another Guinness!
Thanks for your interest and hard work Jorge, and a Merry Christmas!
Ok,
So, as you allknow, I have my Leica and TX-1 both which are 35mm format. For printing I have two options. Buy a really nice 6x7 Durst enlarger for $1000.00 and print my own B&W and possibly color one day or get a really nice scanner and inkjet printer. Without caring which one would cost more, what would you do? What would give better results? I need to know soon.
Thanks,
JT
So what did you do after all? :D

The increase of Benelux members (I'm one of the first) and young (I'm probably the first or second) members has really increased the last months.

it's all part of the youth recruitment plan joris ;)
Very interesting how the site has changed in a relatively short period of time. Shows how effective this site is at attracting new members and keeping them active. Must have a good community for that, which I think we have. As others have said numerous times, it's just different here.
wow you OG's have done a awesome job. All i can say is im glad to be here!
This forum has been a real help for me, It has really helped to spark my interest in photography again...thanx...:)

So when do we have to serve in the RFF-Forces? Do I get sent anywhere good or will have I to remain training in a local barracks?

Ash ... I think they plan to send you on a secret mission to p.net to attempt to capture their leader and introduce democracy to the current regime! :D
Screw that! I don't wanna be tortured!!! :D :D

You will have to use dslr's if they capture you, Ash!
And you will have to prove that canon is better than nikon. Or the other way around, depends who will catch you!
I'm not up for that, it turns my stomach thinking about it... I take it I need a 300mm telephoto to use as a baton to fight them off too?
That's funny, Jorge.
Ah the good ol' time when the M8 was only Sci-Fi and Leica was releasing nice cameras like the MP! Was it after or before Windows 95? :)
Cheers,
Marc-A.
