Russian Lenses Database

Thanks Max, it was dearly missed the other day when I wanted to look up a bit or two about the FED50! I think you're doing a great job collecting this info!

but i didn't see this logo on max's info. is this really an Industar 61 LD?

it is a "Fed" logo. The I61 L/D was the normal lens for the Fed5. It was probably manufactured in the "Fed" plant.
Hallo all, I bought two of those lenses ! They work very nicely and there was prompt delivery. The lube was dried up but it seemed pretty clear that they were totally unused and had been sitting on a shelf for a couple of decades. I followed the Matt Denton re-lube instructions and mounted them on a FED-3.
I recommend the Industar now, while previously I only had used semi-knackered versions.... big difference. The ones I was sent are the later type with printed scales not engraved, but who cares.
