I ordered a black lizard embossed camera cover for my Contax II, and included in the order was a red skin, that I put on my Kiev camera. Here's a picture. The colour in the picture is not quite true due to my laughable scanning skills.

These red Kievs are multiplying like rabbits :) .

Nice camera, Frank.

Naw. It'd be perfect for an art student though.

Maybe if I were a Leo! But I'm just a Taurus.

Does Aki Asahi always do this? As I've mentioned in another thread, I ordered black leather for my Zorki, and received an extra one as well. The extra one always seems to be a slightly more gaudy option, and, like Frank, was the one I eventually chose to use.

Yes, Aki Asahi always do this. I don't know why but I like the free gift.

I asked when I got mine, thinking perhaps there was a mistake, he said it was "training kit". Ordered Kiev/Contax coverings twice from him, once it came with red extra, once with bright orange.

I'm afraid to tell you all that Frank’s red Kiev 4A is now mine - ALL MINE!

Really though, I'm buying it as a gift for a friend who is a very talented art student. She is sort of an adopted daughter to me and my wife - only 17 and she has an amazing eye. She has the rangefinder bug too! No problem with her using my iiic or M6, but this will be hers to keep.

She’ll be heading off to college in a year and is planning to study art therapy (probably a double major in art and counseling) and use those skills to work with emotionally troubled kids. The red Keiv might be a good discussion starter!

I’ll try to get her to post pictures for everyone to enjoy...

it certainly is bright, Frank. I would be a little afraid that the glow from the leather would fog the film.
