I love the covering on zorki's. Next to leather, that ropey texture is the most comfortable I have found on a camera.

I never got on with the covering on my Zorki 4K, had to get rid of it for one of Aki Asahi's leather replacements. I ordered the black leather Leica style one, but received both this and a burgundy leather snakeskin version. Went for the snakeskin in the end, the black one will go on my other Zorki if I ever get round to fixing it.

I'm with you on that covering. My Iskra has a very nice, thick version of it and I find it very secure and comfortable.

What gives with the gaffer tape finder mask? Is that some mod to make the finder more defined than the gradual fuzz out for borders the finder normally has?
Is that image a scan from a flatbed?

Looks like the finders been "accurarised". It's only vaguely 50mm as standard. Is "accurarised" a real word? I know what I mean...

Listen guys - please don't hit me for saying this but don't you think the Zorki 4K looks like it could be the ancestor of the Bessa R? If you put them next to each other, there is a genetic resemblance.

Both my Zorki 4Ks sport an Aki skin - one is very restrained black leather and the other is brown snakeskin. They feel great in the hand, to me.
