If this is a fake, it's exquisitely executed. And if genuine (as I suspect it could be) it's absolutely fascinating - not to mention new to me!

Cheers, Ian!

Edit - apparently Princelle (second ed.) says fake... but maybe.... and it's lovely!

If it IS a fake, it's a pretty darn nice job! Stamping the special top and bottom plates to cover the larger magazines must have been quite a chore.

That is a pretty cool Zorki - i didn't know they had made reporter clones.
You'd have to be crazy to spend £1k on a Zorki though....wouldn't you?

So I don't get it... it's a fake what?

It's a fake Zorki - really a Leica Reporter with a different top?

or

It's a fake Leica - duh.

I reckon its just a real Zorki 75

Standard issue to all those Pravda journos in the 50's

As far as i can find out, it's supposedly a completely "imaginary" camera - one which was only ever made by modern fakers.

Well, it should have been real - so it is real!

That's what Socialist Realism is all about!

Cheers, Ian!

I love it. This site (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.g-st.ch/privat/kameras/zorki.html&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=6&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522zorki%2B75%2522%26hl%3Den%26lr%3 D) also mentions a 250, but only has a drawing. Interesting stuff. One click boys, and you can own one of the few Zorki.75s that never existed.

Automatic translators still have some way to go...reads like Yoda on Prozac:D

With the Zorki 75 it acts around a Zorki 1 also easily increased magazines, the films with up to 75 pictures to take up itself can and about 1951 have developed is. Princelle specifies this model under the column “Fakes” and also the manufacturer doubts its Authenzität..

It looks in way too good condition to me for a Reporter camera, you`d expect it to be borderline Trashed - also, correct me if I`m wrong but would an Industar lens have "Zorki" on the lens cap ?

Info from manufacturer (in sussian):
here (http://www.zenitcamera.com/archive/zorki/index.html#zorki-75)Auto translation of that page... "Has been released, according to the known serial numbers, a small party in 1951. There are some doubts as to the authenticity of the model, which, because of the lack of documents, it is impossible either to prove or to disprove."

It seems both of those sources leave the possiblity open. So maybe... Anway, it's quite a looker. Not near as cumbersome looking as the Leica.250, since, of course, less film capacity.

It looks pretty nice, definitely wouldn't pay that much for it, or any camera really. The Zorki 35m also looks interesting.

The Z-35m looks a lot like the later FED's. In my eyes, ugly :D

Yep, looks like the 75 is now on my list of "if I see it for as much as I have in my overdraft I'll buy it" items

...

I think it's kinda pretty... the frame counter looks like the one on Zenit-E.

This Zorki 75 camera is the exact copy of a real Leica prototype of the 30s which was never manufactured.
It is a Leica 3f with a special body for 70 35mm pictures.
You can find a photo of this camera on page 280 of the nice book in French "La folie des appareils photo "

It's a very nice book actually. I remember seeing the photo of this camera in it. But I was very disappointed they pretended the Kiev 3a was heavy. It not heavy mates, is it? :)
