Hi everyone, we all talk about Oleg for FSU repairs, and he has a fine website. I just tried two times to email him and got a bounceback using this email address

anyone have any fresh contact info or an update regarding Oleg?

That address was bouncing for me about a month ago. I was wondering the same thing. He sent me email from this address in October, try this:

Oleg also posted last month about having mail problems due to tons of spam. I think he's planning on changing email addresses once the mail server difficulties are overcome. Apparently that hasn't happened yet. I'm sure he's there... busy, busy. Have you tried emailing him from his RFF Public Profile? Just a thought.

he replied when I sent email to that address.

Anyone else have any ideas regarding Oleg.. he seems to have dropped off the face of the planet. I have tried about 4 different email addresses from his site as well as from RFF members, and I've had no reply or bounced emails.

It's nearly Christmas or a New Year celebration in Russia. He's probably out and about drinking with his mates and couldn't be bothered about his unanswered emails sitting in the Mail Box. Try to contact him after 14th of January. I believe in Russia, there're 10-13 days straight of public holidays starting from the 1st of January? :)
The guys on this forum could clarify this. :)

Just FYI, I have tried to contact Oleg several times at various addresses including the ones that have been here and I added a two that I found

I have a pair of Iskras with advance problems and one that works fine A real nuisance to test. I'd be more comfortable if I could get someone who's familiar with them. If I can't find him, I'll like get the third CLA'd in the US. That's routine enough. I've got a Fed 3 with a 1//1000 shutter marking that is very nice but could use new curtains etc. etc.

Too bad we don't have a John Hermanson of Olympus fame who does both Oly SLR and RF. Not cheap, but good. I f I hear back from Oleg I will post something. If anyone has another idea on the Iskra or other FSU's generally, I could use the help. Most cameras I collect are not worth a great deal, but there are a lot of them and ideally I can use each at least for on image.

Any ideas

I found that on a whois search for his website. I's unusual for a business to use so many emails, except that most of us have several ... and he's in Spam central. That should not affect the Yahoo mail. My concern was that he was ill.

AS for Christmas, it doesn't come until January 7 in Russian and the rest of it is equally delayed, i.e. they use the Julian calendar. And he's been out of service for the last couple of monhs.
