It wouldn't be a bad one for Brian... He might get it going. Otherwise, the happy buyer will have to send it to either DAG or Leica.

Rover... are you listening?

I have bought from this seller and they are very good, however rover wants an M6TTL and this is a classic model.

I don't know these folks but their descriptions seem pretty honest and they also have this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15218&item=3868825261&rd=1

They insist, however, on using UPS. They say it's fast but we all know different.

That M6 would be a good one for me, as I don't care much about built-in meters in manual exposure cameras. :)

I will bet that Essex can fix this one up fairly easy, it sounds on-par with the M2 that I picked up for $430. The repair, including replacement of the rewind gears was under $200. I am not going after it, I shot-the-wad last week.

Actually Remy, UPS are pretty good here in the continental U.S. We've had a monster storm here in Boston (2 feet of snow and another 6 inches this morning) and UPS delivered a huge package at my door at 7:30pm last night, only a day late.

This is only the second late delivery in 16 years at this house so as far as I'm concerned, they are stellar. The rest of the world - maybe they suck - but here they're almost always on time - and fast. :)

Interesting . . . how much would be a good price to get it for, considering that it needs repair to an unknown extent?

Lets say you budget the CLA at $250 max so I would say $500-550 for the purchase. I bet it goes for more than that.
