Comparing to other FEDs and Zorkis, is FED 5B a good model?

There has been some discussion of the FED 5 in This (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31511) thread and If you do a search I think you will find more :)
From what little I have read the FED 5 is considered a solid usable camera but aesthetically you either like them or you don't :D

Okay, what about FED-2 Type-4
with shutter cocking lever? Is this a good camera? I want to buy a FED. :)

Not a bad picture taker IMHO. Convenient operation with the film advance lever. Usually comes with a first-class lens. Not much of a beauty, though. The finder is a matter of preference.

I have both a FED-5 and a Zorki-6 and prefer the latter.

I looked at some FED models and I wonder what were the designers at FED thinking of designing these cameras:

A nice camera and plenty of them about ,though if your looking for a FSU camera with a cocking lever you might want to look at the Zorki 4,5 and 6 also though the Zorki 5 is a bottom loader that isn't to every ones taste,s . If you have your heart set on a FED you could also look at the FED3b .

Thanks!

Zorki-4K's cocking lever is rather ugly. Zorki-5 does not have it at all, I think. Nothing mentioned about the cocking lever on this model in few resources. Zorki-6 could be the one if I can find this camera.

I did a search on Ebay, and came up with about a dozon Zorki 6's, from $19.00-49.00 USD a few were miss represented in condition, and most had the 50/3.5 rigid lens.

I may get one after the new year. Do all 39mm Lieca lens work well with RF coupling??

I have two fed 5b's (no meter) and they are solid performers. I keep one in my truck always and never worry about it. The 5b has never given me any problems whereas the my zorki 6's have trouble with the wind not picking up the shutter cocking and lack slow speed. So the 5b for me is cheep and reliable and it is taking the picture not in it.
