Back focussing on M8?

I noticed that some of my close up shots were not as sharp as I would have expected, so ran some test shots using a 50/1.4 at 1.4 and consistently got slight but noticeable back focussing. Anyone else noticed this?

I assume that you did use a tripod and did not focus/ recompose?

You should take some test shots using the bracketing protocol to determine the focusing error.

backfocusing seems to be largely a problem with auto focus slr's but I guess with a rangefinder it could happen if the alignment was slightly out.
