Would be nice if there was an option for a handstrap for the handgrip. For those who don't like neck/shoulder straps. Just need a ring on the bottom plate to attach it -would also make possible M5 style shoulder strap attachment.

Luigi (leicatime) makes a nice wriststrap as does Gordy Coale. Get Gordy's if you've no money left after buying the M8 ;)

I have Artisan & Artist silk cord strap on R-D1 and Digilux 2 - and have one spare for my upcoming M8.

I find them perfect. Hang them around the neck or wrap them around the wrist.
Really comfortable and soft.....:)

The Sling is King. Long live the Sling.

I've used the sling and it's good. Wrist straps I don't find to be good replacements for handstraps. But I'd prefer a handstrap to either the sling or a wrist strap, it's the ideal ergonomic companion to a grip.
