I suppose I should keep it then. Its been lying dormant with other camera stuff. I was using it to trim leaders for film for sometime, but I reverted to using scissors because I found the snipping action easier than clamping film
in what looks to be a glorified door hinge and running a blade along its side :D

If you did ever want to shift it, I'd be interested, but not until I come across more money. The fakes look ok-ish though, maybe one of them would be better suited for actual use?

I'm after one cos I'm lazy, but they fetch high prices on the bayOnly if the seller types the name correctly. I got mine at a very nice price because the seller called it an ALBON. :D

I picked mine up in London 5 years ago from Richard Caplan for the eyewatering cost of £60 [$100 approx].
But its ease of use means that it has seen a lot of service, especiallly when on the go.
I used mine only yesterday whilst on the Bangkok Skytrain, trimming the excess film with a swiss army knife, and was able to complete a load within a train stop.
When I mislayed mine some years ago a consequence was that my use of my IIIG declined until I found it again.
Valuable - very.
Essential - for me, certainly.
