View Full Version : Anyone taken fireworks photos using a RF??? please share =)
Was wondering if anyone ever have taken fireworks photos using an RF..
i think it would be pretty challenging.
If you have photos to share lets see it!
Here's a shot taken of the fireworks at Disneyland in August of this year. The photo is nothing to brag about but it wasn't hard taking the shot. Taken with a Leica M6 and, as best I can recall, a 90mm Tele-Elmarit wide open (2.8), focus on infinity, and with a fairly low shutter speed (1/30, I'm guessing). A bit of noise in the black tells me that I should have gone for an even slower shutter speed. And I won't even comment on the lousy framing. :o
I took alot this last July 4th,1/30 f2.8,400 asa,Fed 2d handheld. All came out great. Robin
These are taken this last summer with my Yashica GT and GSN.
Focus at infinity, F/8 - F/16, B mode.
Hold a piece of black card in front of the lens, open the shutter, and remove the card only when you like the pattern, replace, and repeat (or close the shutter, wind and repeat). Bonus for using a RF - no mirror black-outs. =)
Took this at a wedding a few years ago with an M camera and 50 DR 'cron. I don't remember the exposure.
BTW- stunning stuff, Twigs. Nice work.
Great photos Twigs! Sure gives the rest of us inspiration. Thanks for posting those!
Twigs those are great shots!
A couple from September at Angel Stadium. I forget what aperture, but they're 1 sec long taken with a 35 'lux
