I'm considering on joining the 'leica world' and would like to start with either a M2 or M3. Can somebody kindly give some suggestion and tips on choosing a used Leica. Also, I've noticed that there are 3 windows on all the lecia M carmera. As far as I know, the one on the rigth concer is the viewfinder window, and the smallest one on the far left is the window for the rangefinder. However, can somebody tell me what's the middle window (which is just next to the viewfinder window) for? Would that be causing any problme if that window is slightly cracked?

I knwo that is more or less a personal choice, however, which Lecia M would you suggest me to start with? Thank you!!

It doesn't matter much if the second window is cracked. It just lights up the brightline framelines.

Read this to help decide which body to get: http://www.cameraquest.com/mguide.htm

Welcome to RFF, Saiseto! And have fun shopping for an M2 or M3, of which there are a number of variations.
