I have a Leica IIIa with a missing shutter button.
Is there a supplier of replacements anywhere in the world.

Are you talking about the actual button or the screw-on ring?
The reason I ask is because if the button is missing then the shaft would also be missing unless the button has been broken off.

Try DAG www.dagcamera.com
Don is the best and might have the part.

I don't want to offend you but maybe you could use fed or zorki, they should have similar buttons. Would be a bit cheaper, and no one will notice.;)
By the way: you can get rings at bicycle shops for securing tyre valves to wheel rims; they are good replacements for Leica shutter release rings.

DAG does indeed have the part. Unfortunately shutter leases are the one area where the copies differ from the Leica.
I have started a blog on cameras at http://classiccam.blogspot.com/.

The buttons (and many Zorki/FED parts for that matter) may resemble their equivalents on a Leica, but they will most likely not fit.
