Is anybody using this lens regularly and do you have any advice as to its handling characterists?
i.e. flare, soft focus and its colour accuracy etc.

It is a typical high speed lens from1947, a bit soft open, fine closed. Color is like typical Leica glass.
Leave it for the collectors unless you have a line on a nice one cheap with a lens shade.

You will need a hood since this lens is prone to flare. It is slightly soft wide open but sharpens upon stopping down past 2.8.
Colors are vivid and true as well as I can tell.
