I was looking for some comments on this camera. I was thinking for a second (really fourth) body. How are the optics for the 80mm? Any advantage to the 65? Any comments helpful.
Thanks

The 80mm is excellent, as are all the lenses in the lineup, sharp wide open (f4 ;)) with great bokeh when you need it and sharp stopped down, here a couple pics with the 80/4:

wide open with some backlight: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=45274&cat=6302

It looks like you have posted this thread in the Leica forum. If you go to the top of the page and open forums, you'll find a section for MF. In it you will see most of the MF including Mamiya 6/7 users postings.

You'll probably have a better response there. Once upon a time there was a sticky listing RFFs members who owned Mamiya 6/7 RFs. This enabled us to contact eachother. It seems to be a victim of "admin housecleaning"

The Mamiya 7 is one of the greats! Superb lenses. Dead silent shutter. Good focus patch. Shot some portraits with the 150 at wide open aperture. Sharp sharp, sharp. Skin tones glow. I have 2 bodies with 43, 65, 80, 150 lenses. Highly recommended. Saw somewhere that the 150 tested put as one of the sharpest lenses ever. Leica on steroids is what it is!
