Just got my full G2 kit with 3 lens. 28mm, 45mm, 90mm and TLA200.

Have some questions :-

1) Does the autofocus return to original position after shutter released?

2) Normally, how many rolls can the 2 x CR2 last ?

3) Is there any way for a remote shutter release for bulb mode?

TIA

Welcome to the light side :-)

1) yes, it is at infinity.
2) I didn't count but I shot 12 on a used set and still running. Haven'T touched the spares I bought with the films :-). I think they'll last for 30-40 rolls.
3) There is a Contax Remote Release Cabel, but I forgot the number. Don't use a mechanical cabel!

Anyways, nice kit! Aditionaly I have the external Battery Pack BP-8 with GP-1 power adaptor and a TLA-30 flash. So I can use cheaper batteries and avoid red eyes.

One more question, the focus bracket stays still regardless of any lens I used (28mm, 45mm or 90mm) This resulted in the focus bracket not being in the centre, esp 90mm. Is this normal?

The Contax cable release has a button plus lock for time exposures. B&H has them in various lengths:

How much did you pay? I'm interested in selling mine.

Yes :-)
The rangefinder mechanism is not coupled to the focal length but the viewinders magnification is as well as the paralax correction.

So when you focus to a close distance the focusing point is up and left from the middle.
