Kodak, which worked with Leica once before, announces that it worked with Leica again on the M8, Bob Adler, a member of the LUG [Leica Users Group] reports...

No additional IR filter, IR filtering directly on the microlenses' glass.
Nice, though it means it will be impossible to make a custom Infrared M8.

Thanks. Nice find and the CCD sounds great. Lets just hope that it lives up to the marketing. My bet is that it does considering Leica's track record of releasing outstanding products.
Cool for Rochester! Now to hunt down the M8s Kodak has been using to test ...
Not quite an expert reporter- but the difficulties they had to design a top quality RF compatable sensor show through all the marketing talk.
