Does this mean you will have to get some more cameras to put them on?

Hey! Joe Posted a Picture of a Nikon Ftn Photomic!!! But that is the version which is NOT for "General Camera". Can you use them on "Sergeant 7" and "Private P"?
Think I will go sing a Canon Song.
joe, I could use some, if you got any to spare :)
I got several candidates here :D

they are for a threaded release. if you look at the third one down, right side you will see the screw threads.
no more cameras...i only wanted one more for one of the P's, but i paid the same price for 10 as i would for one.

I've just seen some similar to yours on ebay for 7$ :

Does it really make a difference for low speed photos ?

that looks the same as the ones i bought.
does it make a difference?
it makes for a more comfortable release, especially if the cameras release is a bit low. on my canons i find the original release just a bit low. the bessa seems ok on it's own and i don't use one on it.
i'm guessing that's it a matter of personal preference.
but i say try one - maybe you'll like it!
it also depends on how 'heavy' the release pressure needed is.
the bessa is very light - the canon's a bit heavier.

Laurent, for me the "softies" do make a difference - and I'm not alone in this. As soon as my friend got his M2 about two weeks ago, he asked me about a soft release - he saw that I have one, and said that the release on his M2 seemed too "recessed", i.e. too deep seated for a comfortable finger-press. So, if joe sends me any, one will surely go to his M2. I'll keep any surplus, since my Russian RFs could also benefit from such a device :)
BTW, Nikon also makes a bit more sophisticated device for their older SLRs - it's called "AR-1 soft release", if I'm not mistaken. It definitely makes using an FM or an older F camera easier to use.
