I just discovered that my Kiev 4a sort of has a T shutter setting.
You set the shutter speed to B then press the button and turn it counterclockwise and the shutter stays open till you turn it back to align the 2 red dots. :D

If you select the B setting and wind up and release the self timer you can get from 1-2 seconds as the timer operates in B, it should be resonably repeatable.

There are on line user and maintenance manuals, and you may need the latter.

and if you keep the shutter release in T setting, and turn the film advance, you can wind the film as long as you can. Practical when you take a film that you already partly exposed!
