I wonder - purely for fun - how much we could 'pool' to make an offer on that :)
Assume that you'd see no more photos and just a couple of more comments on condition. All you know is that it's some guy in Germany getting rid of his Contax collection (and that he seems to know a thing or two about them).
I'd pay...hmmm.....
* Contax I body: 200 dollars (all bodies comes with a 50mm lens)
* 35mm lens: 150 dollars
* 85mm lens: 150 dollars
Running total: $500
(If you want to play..keep the total running - and remember what items have been 'bought') :)

Depending on a) condition & b) being able to pay after my new job starts in October :bang: then I could see $250 - 300 for what I pinged up above.

I don't read german either but it does say "Preis" at the top box which is, I think, "Price" and below that it reads "Gratis"--"Free"?
Shipping might get to be pretty expensive though...

No Kiev in there? I'm disappointed. Then I'm not buying the whole lot.
Hmmm well I really want a Contax I, II, III (all unmetered), but maybe the guy found a good kiev to use, and thats why it's not being sold with the rest! :D

No kidding.... I did not realize the guy had posted it before. But if it really has the value, that much should be enough to open up a small store and sell each item individually.....
If anyone actually had that much stuff, where would you keep it... probably need a whole room in the house just for the photo equipment :)
Just glancing through it quickly, there is no single spectacular or exotic item. It seems to me that wholesale for that mess would be under $20,000 ... perhaps well under. It would be tough to break even reselling it piece by piece.
