Worrying I mean. I sent my M3 to Shintaro to paint in Februari. (and my $$$)
He confirmed the camera arrived. Since then: nothing, no reply to the few polite mails I sent, no e-mail receipt returned,no reply to a snailmail, I mean nothing like he disappeared from the face of the earth:o :confused: Well, it is over six months now. I am starting to feel I should be on the lookout for a new M3:bang: :bang: :bang:

I just got an email from him last week, he got a new filter for spam and he didn't get my emails either.
He is running behind scheduale...no need to worry, you'll get you M3 back...did you have it painted black?

I got an email from Shintaro just five hours ago.

I emailed him at: mp-3.shintaro@nifty.com

Received a reply from: YQN01777@nifty.com

Hopefully that helps.

It's his reputation to make brillant paint jobs, to be rather back in schedule and not to be very communicative by email. You'll get your M3, and it will be a gem.

For the next time, ask RFF member Zen-shooter how do paint it yourself - he hammertoned a M3 once.

BTW - Shintaro is right now quoting a 2-3 month turn-around on paint jobs.
