Love that machine. Bought it new with warranty, that is crucial since le minilux is known to suffer from a bad shutter that need a new unit replacement. Not a problem as long as it is under garranty. Attached are some shots made with it in Thailand

what I like most is the resolving power of that lens. All my pictures did not exploit it and I can say that this summarit f2.4 is already sharp wide open. Like to shoot slides with that minilux

I'm happy to hear that you are pleased with yours. i'm waiting on 9 rolls of Sensia 100 slide film (that I took with the minilux I bought used) from my maritimes vacation to be returned from processing.

My Minilux photos are here, if you are interested http://www.flickr.com/photos/jsuominen/tags/minilux/ . They are mostly b&w, because like shoot b&w-film with my other cameras, too.

Hi Frank, I'm glad with this p'n'shoot leica jewel, and hope your sensias will make you glad with yours too!
Thanks for the link, I love the photo "irish coffee" in you set Jari.
Now I am hesitate whether of not take the minilux to Vietnam. I'll flew there on 10th august but I take other cameras so I don't think I'll need it unless I find myself with a juvenile sciatic, don't know if it's even a word!

Here's a nice one on the Minilux, it's not in the manual:

When you line up the green AF symbol on the focus dial with the aperture that you've manually selected, the Minilux is set for hyperfocal use. The depth of field will now cover the distance from half the hyperfocal setting indicated at the green P mark up to infinity.

pvdhaar, thanks for the tip but I already knew that one, very useful!! Here's another one made by the minilux. Was passing passing by in front of the church in Bangkok and quickly took the leica out of my little bag. I was carrying the camera always with me. That shot was made on the worst film can I ever processed. Its a 5 years old kodak Gold kept in a warm closet. I just load the film by error but remembered only when seeing the lab results. PS helped here a lot... the original is just ugly!
