Interesting! I remember when the photography magazines would to articles about him. He would have been an interesting man to know. :cool:

I first read Weegee's People when I browsed the photography books in the high school library years ago. His photos are very real life, earthy, and even at that time quite nostalgic.

One of my off-again on-again intents is to try to shoot (I have three specific events in mind) emulating the style of Weegee using the equipment I have. I haven't shot B&W in years, and I avoid flash, but I do want to try this.

Weegee's World is another great collection and should be easy to find.

Saw a great exhibition here in LA a few months back. A real news photographer. I understand he develop the negs out of his trunk within minutes of making the images.They don't make 'em like that anymore.I wuv Weegee!!!!!
