3 Weeks with the Fuji F30

This guy's work has been posted before ... but he has out done himself with the new Fujifilm F30

Now I know this guy has some tricks up his sleeve using Photoshop, but according to a few of his posts he does nothing special and he is just familiar with the strengths of the camera

also, there is a rumor that the F30 is equipped with a super EBC lens coating... however there is not a whole lot of info to confirm that

Very nice photos, thanks for providing the link. From what I hear, Fuji alone strives to make available (i.e. actually usable) higher ISOs in the P&S arena. If the F30 succeeds and is indeed a camera you can take with you for low light photography, I might reconsider my stance to digital. (Well, of course, even if that fails, there's always the M8 to make one reconsider, right?).

I wonder why all the other camera makers keep feeding us more and more Megapixels instead of higher ISOs. I am sure there's a market for both.

If you think about it more mega pixels mean low iso, because if you downsize 10 megapixel file to 6 megapixel file its noise going to be reduced dramaticly :)

I was always impressed with Fuji's cameras. I have an S3100 that is collecting dust, but boy with only 4 megapixels it made some beautiful landscapes and the depth of field was seemingly forever.... even at f2.8

I even have a bivy of accesories ... wide angle add-on and telephoto... polarizor filter, UV, and diffusion filter. I would sell the lot but there is a flood of S3100s on ebay and I probably wouldn't even get my original money back.

It was just too slow for most of my shooting (street and available light)

But approaching 3 years later; these Fuji pocket cameras are really starting to meet my needs ... I think the Natura series from Japan is starting to show its influence over their digital P&S cameras

He did say he uses a small desk tripod whereever he goes ... I am sure you can get some good shots about ISO1600
