I just HAD to drop a line on how I enjoy this place. I just signed up a couple of days ago, but I can sense that this forum is a one-stop-place for all the rangefinder nuts. The layout is perfect and user-friendly. Two thumbs up to the webmaster and contributors!

A question about gallery: does a user have a limit of uploaded photos? Do we stick to uploading photos taken only with rangefinders?

Thanks.

Exactly the same here. I check RFF a few times a day, almost becoming addicted to it. RFF served me with answers on some questions I had. Enjoyable place.

Welcome Lil Red. Lots of nice folks on this forum who help whenever they can.

You're in a wonderland of photographic opportunities. Nawlins "rocks" too! My wife and I had a great time there a few years back.

It is without Parallel for RFF nuts, and a very friendly place with loads of useful information.

It is also a great place to buy and sell tested gear without a string of snide comments that trails almost every listing on the "other" forums. That is due to the Moderator, the webmaster, and the members.

I'd say the members, Brian. We're good! :)

Welcome to the RFF, LilRed! I was in your town about 3 years ago, shot a few images with my Nikon SLR and long to return with my RF gear. How's the St. Louis Cathedral doing?

Hi again Red.

The gallery is open and I don't believe there is a limit to the space in each account. You will have sign in as a member there too I believe. We do try to keep it to RF images, but nobody would mind seeing a really good one from a different camera every once in a while. As far as posting, I have my own rule which I try to follow by keeping my daily post to around 5. I hope by doing that everyone else's images get to spend a good amount of time on the front page too.

I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Hi! And welcome; that's a classy looking avatar. And RFF is indeed a fun place to hang out.

I believe there's no actual limit to the gallery uploads, but the subject came up a little earlier that server storage is not unlimited. So we should pick our best to display here, and periodically weed through our uploads to see which if any could reasonably be deleted.

The issue of rangefinder pics only, or not, has also arisen. The concensus was to emphasize rangefinder pictures because that's the focus of the forum. There is one gallery folder for Northwest scenery that welcomes SLR photos too, but that's the exception.

RF pictures are encouraged in the discussion threads too, but other gear is quite acceptable to illustrate an RF point of discussion. We've diverged off-topic a few times without self-destructing, though!

Welcome Lil !! :D Yes I agree that this site can easily be addictive. I still remember the pain when it was down for more than a day a while ago, couldn't stop reloading the page :)

Great place, superb people !

Dobroe vecher, Lil!
We are certainly glad to have another member such as yourself. I have been on this forum just a short time as well, and found everyone here to be very knowledgeable and friendly.
And hey, I really like your avatar!

No, no, no, no, no! This is a bad place. A really bad place. Hang out hear and the next thing you know you are buying Russian rangefinders by the truck load. Hang out hear and the next thing you know you are scheming on how you are going to process your own black and white film that you buy from strange places like Croatia (Sorry, Denis). Hang out here and you will look at cameras named Weltini and think they're cool. I'm lost! Run away! Run away! Save yourself. You've been warned.

Amen, Gordon, be afraid, very afraid.

And you didn't mention buying extra Electros just to fix them up.

As far as I know, Linda (AndColor) and Helen (HelenB) are the only other women on this board but don't worry, we are all friendly bunch of people here.

Oh yeah, I cannot afford paying anyone to do a sitting for me so you won't have to make excuses :D
