Just wanted to give a HU that there's a 'new' Fed 5B going locally on ebay in the next few hours... Shipping is only quoted as $6 instead of the $20-30 from the Ukraine.

If you are thinking about russian RF's these are not exactly regarded as the prettiest of cameras (I partly disagree), but they are definitely worth the pittance they sell for.... Hell, if I didn't already have a I61LD I'd get it just for the lens!

ps... I don't know this seller, so do your homework... He doesn't mention functionality, so I would ask before bidding!

At your door for 16 bones wouldn't be a bad price just for the I.61.

$16 for the I-61 alone is good. If the Fed's good, too, you get a bonus. Oh, BTW, don't just toss that 5. It can be a very good camera especially for those time you don't care to risk something valuable...

Face it ... the Fed 5B gave new meaning to the word "ugly." But it is a camera that can take fine pictures.

it's in the beholder's eye. IMO it's not pretty but it isn't really "ugly". it's socialistic design from the mid 70's and that's it. It's a bit large (a monster) for it's possibilities but hey, there's the I-61 LD :)

Sometimes it just depends on what lens you stick on the front... Link to a shot I've posted before. (http://static.flickr.com/48/179918229_c0497ff7d6.jpg?v=0) I'm currently finishing up a roll with my Canon 50/1.8 & it looks pretty cool on the Fed 5B as well!
