Hmm...it fits...haven't tried it out yet (anyone here who has?) - but it's certainly not a 'pretty' combination :)

Oh, and a heads-up to ORAKO users.
With the 50/1.4 mounted, the ORAKO won't fit over the rangefinder window:

Well that certainly doesn't look like GeneW's IIIF combo that I held this weekend! :D But I'm a big believer that "rules" are an opportunity for experimentation, so shoot away M. Silfver, and show us some shots!

I have used my IIIf with the 50/ 1.4 Canon lens.
it is not a bad combo to use with the SBOOI finder.
that 50/1.4 is a very good lens by the way.

Rich,
I'm going to suggest that the aesthetics of the camera/lens combo would be much improved with Melanie modeling it

Not as silly looking as the Canon 50/1.2 on a IIIa. I've actually taken some pictures that way. Half the RF image is blocked, but it does clear the RF windows. ORAKU/OKARU? Fuggedaboutit!
I like it. But then, I'm married to a granny. ;) Anyway, you have my blessing, Rich. Shoot away. http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif
