Looks nice and I cans see things that may be really cool feature down the road.

Some feedback:

Not so good:
1) I can't see the list of forums that were usually displayed on the right hand side.

2) The new 'Image Settings' feature in user options seems to work like this:

* If you have the setting selected then;
- Embedded images (IMG-tags) will show like big pictures
- Attachments will show as thumbnails

* If you do NOT have this setting selected, then:
- Embedded imaged (IMG-tags) will show like a link,
- Attachments will show as attachments with a small file icon.

That's really good for the dial-up dinosau...I mean dial-up users but what would be REALLY cool is a THIRD image option that would do this;
- Embedded imaged (IMG-tags) will show like big pictures,
- Attachments will show as big pictures

3) Smiley's look odd...like there is a jagged halo around them: :)
Maybe it was like that before as well and I didn't notice...

4) It doesn't show in the profile, in threads, if the person is off- or online anymore.

Cool Changes:
a) Chat Icons shown in the profiles in threads,
b) The ability to choose layouts (can be really cool when Jorge has 3-4 alternative ones to pick from),
c) I like the edit-box that now the HTML-tag icons in it.

Rich, your preference for big pictures in threads and mine for thumbnails is clear. We had a poll on this a while back and about 3/4 voted for thumbnails.

I have to admit, I prefer thumbnails. With the possible exception of the W/NW forum, I find following the converstaion is more difficult when you have to keep scolling up and down past the pictures. The font size could be bigger but Jorge is working on that.

I agree with ManGo. The text is too small. Otherwise I like it fine!

The text is much better now! Thanks Jorge.

So wouldn't an OPTION to have thumnails displayed as large photos be a great thing for 25% of the users? :)

This bright green highlighting is a bit in your face, especially for a site for people who are visually aware.

Hey, Jon, I was going to say that! :D But I agree for 100% Also the smilies are a bit garish. But for the rest, I like the new look.

I'd really appreciate the "Currently Online" list being in alphabetical order, as it used to be. That's my first thought.

Wow, I like the small/medium/large font choices! Medium is just right... :D

I'd second that thought. Now I have to hunt for friends in non-alphabetical fashion :bang:

Overall, good changes. Seems a wee bit faster too.

Bring back the free classifieds and it would just about be perfection.

'Medium' is a couple of points too big on my laptop screen - but I rekkon the old font was a tad too small for you all big-screen users in the past so I'll just suck it up and try my hardest to get through life with it :)

oops... Jorge, you are a miracle worker... refresh the page & you've waved your magic wand already... Nice!

Previous redundant post:

I agree... Not sure why it matters, but I like to see who's about... Just used to seeing the list alphabetically I guess... I'll get used to it if it doesn't change... Is it in order of login now?

Jorge - great work. Can we have the "Online" indicator back against the member in threads? (Under the member's name and avatar.)

Is there any Mozilla Firefox savvy people out there?

Q: Is it possible to set a default for a favourite site in Mozilla when it comes to tex t size (decrease one step)? I've tried to find a way to do so but am not able to figure out if it's possible.

Okay, here's what's bugging me about the new setup (viewed via Mozilla Firefox v. 1.5.0.4, Mac OS X 10.3.9):

- Bring back online status of members. Please.

- Text options (italic/bold/underline, etc.) don't work at all. Is there something I'm not getting about the new setup? The old one worked "a treat".

I can (mostly) deal with the smaller text. And I hope the above issues are merely teething issues that'll be dealt with reasonably soon.

I'm not seeong any of the "side bar" after I log in. It's there when I first come here but once I'm logged in, it is gone. Makes it kind of hard to "click through" to our commercial sponsor's sites.
I'm using Firefox 1.5.04 on a windows NT/2000 machine.
It could be something I'm doing but I haven't consciously changed any thing.
Except for that, I'm fine with the new stuff.
Rob
edit: now the link to "my gallery" is odd.

test is still too small for me. Looks to be about equal with size 8 to 10 TNR on my screen. That is, when typing the message.

Closer to 6 to 8 after the message posts.

I have a Acer Ferrari laptop with 1680 pixel horizontal resolution, wide screen. This is very cool for photoshop as the on screen resolution is about 130dpi. I find that your "afterdark -VBP354++" is perfect for such fine resolution. Before you added it I needed a magnifying glass.

Not working in Windows XP with Firefox 1.5.0.4 either. Neither are smilies, for that matter.

I am wondering.. How can it be that my responses to Classifieds carry an outdated avatar?
Not that I mind, but it is surprising.
