View Full Version : Scanning negatives

Hi !

I know, already other threads regarding that topic....

I scanned one negative with my EPSON 3200 @ 2400 which creates a OK quality for web and small (?) prints.

Does anyone made a comparison with a specific negative with a similiar flatbed scanner and a professional scan before ? Sample images online ?

Wonder if it is worth going for expensive scans.

Even a good dedicated film scanner trumps a flatbed every time, let alone a professionally done drum scan.

Some people WANT it to not be so, some people WISH it were not so, and some people will SWEAR it is not so (but have never actually done the comparison)... but that is just the way it is.

Sven, we participated in a scanner comparison not too long ago. Results here...

How about a trade? Let me use your incredible Spheron in exchange for using my Imacon?
