Hello,

I am trying a Hasselblad X-Pan. I have seen that the focusing spot in the viewfinder is not in the very centre of the square/rectangle. Is that normal or is that this camera was mistreated before?

I never paid attention to it, but the focusing spot seems to have a small offset to the left and to the top.
So don't worry, be happy!

Why do you consider this as an error?
Is the focusing point of ALL your shots always in the mathematical center?
If so I have other questions.

It is normal, not an "error".

I'm not sure why the slight offset to the left as the 45mm & 90mm lenses with hoods do not intrude into the frame by any great amount. Possibly the 30mm does when focusing?

I think the slight upwards bias may have been a shrewd, intentional choice as with much subject matter and the camera on a tripod it would allow you to locate focus points more quickly.

Not so. At infinity the rangefinder spot is to the top and left and as the centre spot moves together with the frame lines (down and to the right) when correcting parallax the offset stays constant relative to the framelines.
