That's old news and unfortunately it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere.
In any case, it wouldn't be suitable for rangefinder cameras due to reasons which were already discussed on this board (ie: angle of the light striking the micro lenses on the chip).

Heard they went bankrupt a few years ago.

This could have worked, had somebody realised this product shortly after it was announced on www.imagek.com in 1998. It became a questionable proposition when their web site was more focused on getting investors than on the product itself.
At this moment DSLRs have reached a price point where buying a separate film SLR and a separate digital cartridge seems to make no sense anymore.

I think the advantage of this system would have been and still would be, for everyone who already has a film camera and a brace of lenses. Especially given that as I recall, it was to have been full frame. I would love to have the product for my Fujica ST901 and all the lenses I have for it.
Too bad this never came to fruition.
