Is anyone else annoyed at how long this thread takes to load and the jumping around it does while the full size pictures load? I wish folks would attach their photos as thumbnails and this wouldn't happen.
I agree Frank, it drops me at #9 always. If I look at a thumbnail and hit the back button I get #9 not where I started???????????????

It saves rff space though, b/c instead of uploading photos to the rff servers, it takes the photos from another sites servers. Plus it is way nicer to see the photos w/o clicking the thumbnail then the back button every time.

I hate thumbnails and links - much rather see the full photos. So no.
If I want to see the photos I will have to open them up sooner or later anyway.
Sad thing is that I know I never click on 90% of thumbnails simply cause I don't like the concept.
A W/NW thread should contain photos. Has anyone ever been to photo.net and seen some of the better threads there? A series of thumnails would never be as nice.
Over at PNet, I'd like to view some of the street photography threads, but they contain full size photos and take way too long to load so I don't bother. Lack of thumbnails prevents me from even opening the thread. (Funny this philosophical difference we have about thumbnails, Rich! :) )
We should do a poll. :)
Another arguement for thumbnails is that if you revisit a thread, you have to wait for all the full size photos that you've already seen to load, jsut to be able to see the new ones.

Good idea Doug. I would set them all up facing a 12" TV using only the light from the TV for the exposure. Hmm.

If some wish to be as slender and elegant as a manikin, for most it's just not going to happen, or perhaps only for a brief time. This discrepancy is interesting... I like your shot, thafred.

It is a strange one, and wasn't in a dress shop, either. As for location, I confused this photograph with another mannequin photo I took in St. Louis. This one was taken in Tucson, Arizona. (If I find the other one, I'll post it also).

Like that one, Keith... looks like a sales gal just relaxing in front of the window hoping for a customer to come in. Remarkably little reflection from the glass, given the angle.

Thanks to both of you. All I had was that depressing one with the paint-cracked eyes.
Hard to find mannequinn shots down here in the sun-blasted desert where there are so few department stores.
