Not long ago I got some of my photo book projects finalised and sent off to Lulu.com. In the past two days I received my personal copies, checked them, and made some minor final alterations. Now two books are ready and for sale! :)

The first book is _Views of Amsterdam_ (http://shardsofphotography.blogspot.com/2006/04/photo-book-views-of-amsterdam-for-sale.html).

The second book, and in my opinion a very nice book, is _Tsagaan Sar - Mongolian New Year_ (http://shardsofphotography.blogspot.com/2006/04/photo-book-tsagaan-sar-mongolian-new.html)

Both books are available through _my shop at Lulu.com_ (http://www.lulu.com/rml) only. The copies I received looked very good, with hardly any of the purple cast that was reported before.

Thanks!

Preparing those books has put my photography in some perspective. I'm now starting to think more conciously about what I'm doing: the reasons for my shooting. Am I shooting for a book or some other publication? For my own pleasure? To record some personally "important" event? Or experimenting? That insight alone is worth so much.

I've also come to the conclusion that I want to lift my photography to a higher plan. There's nothing "wrong" with it but I want have more "professional" results. I've especially come to the conclusion that the final result (the print) is important; an insight that has only dawned on me in the past month or so.

So, knowing that I shoot digital and prefer colour over B&W, how do I go from here?
