View Full Version : skopar on leica?
Will my cv 21mm f4 fit properly on a Leica? I would like a used Leica, but not even sure if this lens would fit. presently it sits on my Bessa L thanks.

If you have a LTM-->M adaptor (http://www.cameraquest.com/adaptltm.htm), it will.
Granted, there won't be proper framelines, regardless of what adaptor or camera you use--therefore, just pick the LTM-->M adaptor with the least obtrusive framelines you want.

If you have a thread mount Leica, it will go right on and function perfectly
M adapter if M Leica, otherwise as Ronald says. Either way, an accessory finder: though if it's put on an M with 28 mm frame lines you can, well, extrapolate.

Yes, my 21/F4 VC lens works on my LTM bodies and on my M body using the LTM to M adaptor and it came with an aux. VF that I use on both body types.

I use the same lense on both my IIIc and M3 with M adapter.
Enjoy the lense ...it's beautiful!

I use a 35 skopar with M adapter on my Leica M3 and it works great. I love using CV lenses. They have a really good bang for the dollar.

Like everyone already mentioned: LTM->M adapter (you can get a cosina-made one from CameraQuest or there are a variety of China-made ones usually on the 'bay. No isses since correct framelines aren't an issue) + external viewfinder.
But who needs a VF, anyway? ;)
