Hi guys,

somewhere on this forum I read that someone has made this thing - a picture file that I could print on a sticker and put around the shutter speed selector. I have a Zorki 4 with printed shutter speeds, and they are slowly wearing off... :(

Yep, you can find it there :-). I had the same problem, obviously... The best post, however, with more info and a newer version (the one I ended up using) is on here:

Excellent work... can I know what kind of adhesive did you use to stick the paper image to the dial?

Thanks for the hard work!

Cheers
Bas.

Thanks! The adhesive... cheap dollar store type glue. It was called "Clear Glue" and was somewhat gooey. I would not recommend anything that is very watery, like normal super glue. Try to look for a glue that says it can bond metal and paper and is fairly thick. If you really get stuck, you can try epoxy.

I have come across a sign/advertising making shop that have the kit to laser engrave on metal, for self adhesive nametags on office door etc. Perhaps when you find the the graphic file, you can fork out a little more to have it laser engraved, that would make it a much better permanenet solution.

Well, the graphic file is in that thread, but here it is anyway:
