View Full Version : got a fed50 - anybody tried this thing?
Just got a fed 50 as a present from a friend. Black, quite small, quiet shutter, shutter speeds automatic, F-stop priority, 38mm 2.8 industar81 lens. Looks like it could be fun, too bad its not a rangefinder. Anybody has any experience with this camera? How's the quality of the lens? thanks

Sounds like it's similar to an XA-2. No experience with it though. Good luck and let us know how the results turn out :)

well not that small :) more like revue 400se small. I'll definitely let you know what its like when I get the first roll through.
I have one and I rather like it. The only bit I found annoying was having to scale focus with a very basic scale. The lens is OK and the exposure system works well. I like the way the lens cap arrangement reverses to form a lens hood. It seems well built and reliable. Every bit as quiet as my Leica M6. In fact it belongs in that class of cameras rather well - Seagull 205, Seagull 203, Moskva 5, Minolta Autocord - they are all as quiet as an M6. Did I mention the Holga? That's even quieter!
