FED received

Wondering if anyone could suggest a source for a half-case? Would any Leica half case work?

Good looking Fed.
Just remove the top of the case you got with it. I modifed the one I got with my Zorki so the top snaps on and off.

In regards to a source for a half case.........why don't you cut the original one and make that into a half case?

Not that I know of. My Zorki case had a single rivet connecting the top and bottom of the case. I carefully removed the rivet and replaced it with a snap. Then I cut the remaining flap down and added a second snap.

Does anyone know if the FED 3 has the same dimensions as a Leica III or other?

John, Unfortunately the FED 3 (and 2, 4 and 5) are quite a bit larger than a Leica III (or the FED 1 for that matter) and would not fit a screw-Leica case.
