just saw this on ebay: bargain leather case (http://cgi.ebay.de/Leather-Case-for-Leica_W0QQitemZ7589685348QQcategoryZ43442QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem)
now, i have seen sm and m system leica kits sell for much less (and some even had lenses and cases) ... what is so special about this case? the expectations & conceptions of some people simply beat me. :rolleyes:
He wanted to start this auction on the first of April....

This seller is generally overpriced which is why if you look at completed sales, they are few and far between.

Jeez! Now I feel bad about tossing away the front of my case 30 years ago when the leather tore in half. Assuming it was worth $50 in 1976 and it is worth $500 today, that works out to an annualized rate of return of nearly 11%. Who knew?!

I asked. I suspect a typo, like $10.00 with no decimal point. Same seller has a Canon Vt up for $250; high for the condition but not crazy.
Or possibly he just set up something outrageous because it attracts a lot of attention to his yaBe shop...
A guy had a box of these at the San Jose camera show for $5.00 each.

kim, for a second, i thought he's so attached to the case that in fact, he doesn't want to part with it. but what's his reasoning if he's a power seller? waiting for a rich jerk to jump on it because it's expensive? not a very successful business approach to my mind.
brian, did he respond?
mike, don't mention it ... i used to have all the masters of the universe action figures as a kid -- my sister gave them to my cousin when they both we're around 6-7 and i wasn't home in croatia (i was 18-19 at the time). they were all wrapped up separately and complete ... and i could have made a small fortune selling them now! oh well.
jim, what's funny is that when comparing the us ebay site to the german site for instance, the prices on us ebay are twice as high often ... i just recall buying an m 3 ever-ready case in near mint condition for €30.00 from a german seller including insured shipping (i am in germany, too) -- mentioning the $5.00 reminded me that when i browse the listings on ebay usa, most of these cases in fair to good/very good condition either start at a higher price or catch much more than the above sum i paid.
p.s.: liked the mammoth suggestion, hehe.
rhona45th = stupid prices
