View Full Version : Revue 3 = Fed 3
Just for info
I was looking through eboy for some russian cameras and found a Fed 3 which used to be sold by german company Quelle as a Revue 3.
Never knew Feds were sold under other names.
This happened to quite a few of the KMZ models - UK members of a certain age will recall Zenits being sold in Dixons under the Prinzflex brand - but seems to have been less common with FEDs . According to Princelle the FED 3 was known as a Revue and also a Taxal in some markets.
I am sure it was something to do with giving their USSR origin a lower profile. I had a Zenit 3 that went under the name of "Global" for a while.
Would be interesting to have a list of all the "western" names and corresponding FSU cameras.

Are the engravings on the camera body matching ? it would be interesting to see.
yes it's with the engraving.
Did that camera come with that lens? It says FED on the front..
Still, a nice find..
i dont know, it probably did.

Hello,
the "Revue"-labeled FED's had all a FED lens. The FED-4 was also sold as "Revue" at Photo-Quelle. The Revue-3 was sold with two different engravings/inscriptions.
There were several cameras sold under the "Revue" label
Zenit-3m ("Revueflex"), Zorki-10, but also Prakticas, Mamiyas, Cosinas, Polaroids...
