I noticed that when you click on the Zeiss Ikon image on the home page a page for Popflash.photo comes up and they are selling the black body for $1,400 vs $1,610 at B&H. Has anyone delt with them and are they a reliable dealer?

I bought my black ZI from them last week! It arrived in only a days time (I'm only 100 miles or so from their shop). They are top notch people to deal with.

They are also RFF sponsors and they're running a promotion for RFF members to receive free shipping when they order a ZI.

Reliable, a pleasure to do business with, and they stand behind what they sell.

I ordered the Silver ZI body with the 50mm lens from them on Monday, the slip saying it arrived is on my door today. CA to NC in a day and a half beats any other camera store I have dealt with. Free shipping to boot (for RFF members).

Very pleasant to deal with, would not hesitate to order from them again!

But, now I have to wait for tomorrow to go pick the package up, as the post office is already closed. ARRGGGHHH!!!

Cheers!

A follow up to my previous post... Got home from work and there was the box sitting on the porch!! While I was happy to have the camera, I was not happy that the post office left it without getting the signature that was required.
A complaint was filed with the local post office, and I let Tony know that the post office screwed up. The delivery problems were by no means any fault of Popflash, just the local carrier. The box came well packed, everything was in order. It's well past dark here, I wonder if I have any rolls of 3200 laying around.....

If Tony were an eBayer, you'd see this:
"++++++++++++++++AAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++ Top-notch seller!!!!!!!"

To everyone,

Thanks for your input. I just called Popflash.photo and ordered the ZI with the 35mm. They were very easy to deal with and gave a good price.

Sweet! What color did you get?

My biggest surprise with ordering from them was I didn't have to pay tax! I was prepared to spend a bit over $1500 on the black Zeiss Ikon because of California's 7.75% sales tax. When I called them up and they told me that tax was included I was amazed!

They got the Limited Edition with a black lens. I one of the few people who like the chrome vesion of the camera.

I actually kinda regret not buying the chrome limited edition version, at least then I could buy lenses that will match well with my M2 :D

I'm a fan of both colors, actually.

I'll echo what others said about Tony and Popflash. Ordered a ZI that arrived about a week ago and they were a pleasure to deal with. I'm generally not a chrome fan but I went with the chrome to save the dollars and I'm glad I did. Nice camera.

Maybe I'm one of the minorities..

But, to my eyes, my silver LE looks way more charming and noble
than the black paint version.. (no offense to the black version owners.. :) )

I like black paint lenses better, though..

I purchased ALL of my silver/chrome Leica M lenses except the 24, from Tony. I know he is a sponsor here but regardless, to me he has a 5 star rating.

Oh yes and chrome is the ONLY way to go :D classic to the end!
