I shall be mostly offline for the next few days at least. Some members are already aware but for the rest, my wife has been in and out of hospital a couple of times over the last few weeks. She is in again at the moment and I have just heard that she is in theatre at the moment to have her gall bladder removed. I will be concentrating on her re-cuperation over the next week or so.
I have several outstanding things to send out and some jobs I have promised to people. Hopefully, I will get these done between "visits". My apologies for any delay. If there is anything urgent, I will still check my email inbox, so any PM's or emails will get to me.
Hopefully back on line next week (Boat trip cancelled due to the Op :( )

I know your wife will be okay, and wish her and you the best.
Concentrate on her, you will have your hands full.
Let us know how it goes, when you can.
Like Brian said; take care of the important things in your life Kim.
This site, to me, would pale in comparison to ones health or the health of ones family.
When you're back.. we'll still be here.
Dave
All the best. Hope all goes well and the recuperation is quick.
Peter
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
Kim,
As already noted - personal business overrules any RFF matters. FWIW: My Mom (82 years young) had her gall bladder removed last Fall. Six weeks afterwards she was on a 10-day cruise from Florida to Colombia and back!
So I'm almost certain things will be okay for you and you'll be on that boat trip soon! ;)
Oh! That doesn't sound too good :(
Take care of your wife, she'll need you more than we do!
All the best to your wife Kim.
These are the only things that count - my very best wishes Kim, to you and your family.

Family ALWAYS comes first. Hope she has a speedy recovery. I'll say a prayer for her tonight!
First week after surgery is pretty tough, but after that good as new. The docs today are amazing, once they zero in on something they fix it. About three weeks after mine I never felt better in my life....I'm sure it'll be the same for your wife.
Best wishes, and don't worry.

Very many thanks for all the kind words and messages not only here but also in the PM's and emails. Due to some complications, the operation took about 3 hours instead of the usual 1 but it seems to have been a success and Linda is recovering well. She can at least move around the house unaided now. My daughter has also come home fom university for the Easter break and is helping as much as she can with the "household" chores. As a result, I should be able to start to catch up with some of the jobs I have been neglecting over the last 2 weeks and keep more up to date with what is happening here.
It has also highlighted to me once again what makes this forum such a different place. It has a very real sense of community rather than "just a place to discuss cameras". The majority of members here have always shown a respect and kindness for other members that seems to be lacking on other forums where "self" and the imposition of personal views seems to be the goal. Despite some of the "hot" threads recently, perhaps we should remember this amongst all the calls for change and rules.
Anyway, many thanks again and I will catch up soon - I promoise!
Kim
Kim,
Glad to hear that all is going well. You're right about this place - its very good.
If you need a diversion, I'm sure that a couple of us could come up and drag you out for a days shooting a beer.
Regards
Gid

Good to see you back mate. Yes, this a community and I think we care about each other.
Just like my in real life community where a key guy was taken to hospital this weekend and everybody is enquiring after Paulo and sending Best Wishes and small gifts.
Remember to take care of you too.
