i hope that i'm not out of line here...but i think it's ok to make the announcement...

the new book, the rff book 2...'rangefinder photography - a gathering' is ready for orders at lulu.com!!

i just ordered a copy to make sure all is working and all is working.

cost is 37.83 u.s.

congrats to brett, ray and rover (ralph) for an incredible job, lots of hard work and a fabulous team effort in getting this book from idea to paper.

our book number one, 'rangefinder photography - a passion', is still available and is #86 on the top 100 list.

let me jump in here and say that joe, ray and rover did an amazing job organizing this and keeping it on track.. there's no way I could have put this book together in such a short time without their help.. it was a top-notch team effort all around

I have to respectfully disagree, joe. Aside from the wonderful dedication, you have been a major civilisong influence around here and this knid of co-operative effort wouldn't work with out some kind of community feeling.
OK, now back to my regularly scheduled gear obsesing...

joe for representing the membership, and bringing the poet's touch to the project
Brett for jumping in, grabbing the bull, and bringing his wonderful talent to the project (he's a joker, but the guy knows his stuff!).
Gene for helping to kick this off (and getting me involved)

I hope for many more RFF books, and that each of you get a chance to participate, both by supplying content, and taking part creating something as great as this with equally great individuals!

I just ordered my copy and I'd like to thank everyone who had a hand in making the book possible. Now I can say I've been "published" in something other than newspapers. :D

I'm pumped. Even if I weren't previously aware I'd probably buy it based on the prersentation on Lulu.

Now, I have to go harrass the mailman: where's my copy, where's my book! (forget that I just ordered it 10 minutes ago. Where is it man!)

they're so full of great photos that you have to be careful when you open them that the pictures don't spill all over your lap ;)

the photographers are all members here... the book that was just released includes photos from 97 RFF members.. nearly 200 photos all packed into 1 book

Bravo and many thanks for involvement. I'll place an order right now.

As a participant, I am a bit afraid of my contribution compared to the other ones, but I am just an amateur which means I like to take photo, there is no statement about the qualities and interest...

And I hope to be in again next time and again and again.....

Just ordered mine - and bought the first book too while I was there - even though I'm not in that one I know there are some great shooters here and love viewing their work.

Anyone in Holland interested in a combination order to save on shipping costs?

I haven't check yet whether there is any rebate or cost reduction to be had but we can look into that, can't we?
